AICTE and UGC should be banned immediately. In India 100 % of faculty members who are working in engineering colleges, Universities are preparing fake documents for getting recognition like NAAC and NBA through out the year. They dont have time to prepare subjects and teach the students. New regulations and Bodies have to be made immediately. It is the need of the Hour
It is really sad to know this survey outcome. The different state governments, AICTE, and the affliation-giving universities allowed to start large number of self-financing engg. colleges. It is high time, these bodies look into the functioning of these colleges and they should make sure to have raised standard of education(i.e., industry-oriented education) of these colleges. Let us hope for the best to happen.

Even 80% projection is not true . Its only around 5% or so.Being in Industry for over 30 years , I have concluded that grooming of these so called graduate or polytechnic engineers is not possible by any means. this applies to almost all the students coming from private colleges.They get their roll numbers to appear in final exam without attending exams , without attending monthly tests without attending practicals. There is money assigned for every thing by college management. The so called MTECH and PHD staff does not know how the Industry works . Its all theoretical and mindless process. At the end parents who shed millions on their ward's education feel cheated. engineering college should recruit staff with industry background only.

tally agree with u. I have some friends in USA whose wards have done engineering from India and r vacations here when they should be doing their internships back in India. This by people who r USA based. What to expect from people living in India. It ur 5% its only the cream institute of the top rung students.

it is collapse of education system from school to polytechnics/Engineering collages where engineers are studied without any laboratory or proper coaching without equipments.so perfect engineers cannot comes out from private or govt collages in such enviroment we should not expect any miracles.

How can you expect the students to be employable when they are prohibited from learning other than their regional language. English is banned in some states. Atleast, we should be happy, unlike our politicians, atleast 20% engineers are employable with the current standard of education.
We just discuss about unfit , they can not do. But we never discuss why this is happening and whats the steps towards improving it. ( basic education so poor ) Students needs ready made project and they are ready to give huge amount. Then they need JOB and so money.
