I feel very positive about Airport security, I had lost my sling cross shoulder bag at the exit of Delhi Airport, it was an open area accessible to everyone. Many vehicles and taxis were parked there, I loaded all my luggage except that sling bag in the taxi and left. The bag contained 4K INR in my wallet, my credit cards and my passport. I realized this only when I reached home 1.5 hrs later and looked for wallet to pay to the cab driver. I threw my all luggage at my home and left for Airport immediately , I was worried for the Passport mostly. I went to lost and found division, talked to the authorized person there. He told me it is too early to say anything about it, he did not have any entry in his system about the lost article. Then he suggested me to contact directly to the security officer for the morning shift, I could locate him with some difficulty and he broke the good news that "yes we have found something like what you are explaining, so tell me exactly what does this bag contain. How much money it had etc. etc. What is the address, DOB on the passport etc.." He then verified every detail, took a receiving letter in writing saying that I have received my lost article containing xyz etc.. It was such a relief, I thanked him a hundred times.
Congratulations to Vaihayasi for keeping her cool and retrieving her I-Pad , the lessons learnt are of value, thanks to her , we shall take care of these seemingly small but very important things in future, Narendra
