The employees were running airlines - as they say, then why can\\\'t they unite get a fundraiser in place and take over company - banks are going to ruin it as they are in process of ruining bank itself

Nationalisation of private airlines
by suresh baliga on Apr 25, 2019 09:09 PM

It is my personal opinion that we should nationalize jet airways and kingfisher airlines and keep these number of people employed. As such it is banks which are running the operation .it is better that the government nationalise the airlines and merge it with air India and kingfisher and create new company with zero debt as a one time gesture with help of world bank as millions of honest tax payers need to move crosscountry for business and leisure activity. At least 20,000 of jet airways and 5000 people of kingfisher will a string of hope to hang they need not loose livelihood. Maybe they can reduce the salaries for sustenanc e to save inconvenience to millions of holiday goers and keep the reputation of the country intact. All this provided the world bank agrees to provide a lifeline to the carriers .Critical national infrastructure like airlines and air Force infrastructure cannot be decided on benchmark on profit /loss. At least the shareholder and stakeholder will recover value for the investment.

Unemploynt allowance
by Soumitra Goswami on Apr 25, 2019 03:57 PM

We should have reasonable unemployment allowance to save job seeking people to stay out of depression. After so much education selling vegies or so is not easy option. Some concrete idea is badly required.

My sympathy lies with Jet Staff but ,
by b g on Apr 25, 2019 01:56 PM

Well I sympathize with Jet Staff whose payments are pending for months. There are also questions as to why the staff members did not choose to quit and look out for other jobs. It is more like a 'boiled frog syndrome'. There are many IT people who have break in jobs because of the market conditions and no one is there to sympathize with them, there are other farmers and daily wage earners who lie in debt and we still have to sympathize with Jet Airways staff who were paid handsomely when the airline was in full swing. Well I do show my sympathy for the families of the staff but they are in queue.
