Yes, it's sad. But it's one thing about body positivity (and body shaming) and quite another about glorifying obesity. I see many obscenely obese people waddling around smugly like fat is something to be proud of. It isn't. I say this even though I am quite fat myself (I am certainly not proud of it, though)
Yes, it is a reality in India. We still indulge in juvenile remarks and gags about plus size people in our movies and other media. We place more premium on appearance rather than character and performance.
