Wow! This is real Mumbai

Salutations to the people of this chawl. This is real Mumbai and the culture of Maharashtra which has been destroyed totally. The main culprits of this destruction are the Govt. and political parties of Maharashtra. It is a shame that they could not protect the beautiful chawl culture of Mumbai. Chawls in Mumbai should not have gone in the name of development and skyscrapers. Even if the chawls had become old and dilapitated, it should have been rebuilt by the Govt. in the same format without any addition. Only then the culture of Mumbai would have survived and so would have the beauty of Mumbai. But who cares for Mumbai or for Maharashtrians even though everybody might shout about it. Chawl culture is the perfect answer to housing issues maintaining the beauty and not making the city crowded and polluted. Its sad that even the people in the chawl in the name of redevelopment has been ready to forsake their togetherness and culture for accommodating their entire family in one place. No wonder, the locals of Mumbai has no place for themselves in this crowded developed city. We ourselves kill the gift given by our ancesstors and nature and then keeps crying while perishing. The excsue always for redevelopment is not just due to dilapitation of existing houses, but the craveness to shift to bigger houses in the thought that family has grown and financial status also increased, but family will keep growing. Can't make or purchase a big big room for all generation

Great celebrations.

But they should become eco-friendly next year.

This festival is a symbol of inclusiveness and communal harmony. It cuts across religions and tears apart the caste system of north india. People like that bludy modi should be ashamed to have not participated in such festivities
