With reservations based on cast and not sticking to merit ranked admissions, this is not at all surprising. With such policy we shall only produce clerks and mediocres,no scholars,
Our politicians are busy bashing Modiji.Look at China and see the progress made. But hats off of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore and Tata who conceptualised and established the IISc formerly famous as Tata Institute. But shame our politicians.
The ranking was compiled by white people using their egoistic and racist mentality. It is another tool to do advertisement for their own university. It is time for non-whites to launch their own yardstick in every field. Who are Americans and Britishers to decide how our universities are performing.

You are crying because our universities are really rubbish and produce mediocres. I am one of the ones from DCE/ DTU and ashamed of the quality of education I got! Get real and accept the truth. Cry baby.

The problem in this country in higher education is inferiority complex, unless we start MBBS ,and other courses in Hindi , no progress is visible .We have not produced a Satenyandernath Bose or Raman after independence by teaching in English medium as they produced an Einstien by teaching in German medium.

You may have interest on your mother tongue - Studying in mother tongue has more value, however whether you have upgraded your language (in medical & technical terms) to compete with English which dominates all over the world. If you want to restrict within your country (only in Hindi Belt)your idea seem to be good.
Again think over that Hindi is being talked about 34% of Indians only - what about the students of other Indian languages.
