Close down all mass professional pvt. coaching Institutes.At best pvt. coaching classes at individual levels of say 5-6 students can be allowed.The professional coaching Institutes are not only becoming a source of corruption they instill a false sense of hope into minds of students especially from well to do families whose standards are abysmally low but yet aspire to get into institutes of higher learning.Once these coaching centers are closed then mostly only those students of real merit who study on their own w/o help of any of these pvt. coaching centers would apply and those failing to get entry would not be too terribly disappointed. This would avoid unnecessary raising of hopes or tensions and consequent suicides etc. among teenagers who will be looking for lower horizons according to their mental caliber.During our times in the sixties there were no such professional coaching Institutes and all of us passed JEE and entered IITs on our own. Given this generation of students are much more smarter and intelligent compared to what we were in the sixties I do not see why the good students with merit can't clear JEE on their own w/o help of coaching Institutes..

DEAR MR. DAMODARAN, I AM FULLY AGREED TO BY YOUR VIEWS BUT GOVERNMENT CAN NOT SHUT DOWN PRIVATE COACHING CENTRES. IT IS THE HELPLESSNESS OF GOVT BECAUSE BIG COACHING CENTRES LIKE AAKASH, FITJEE, TARGET PMT AND MANY OTHERS LIKE THOSE SITUATED IN KOTA ARE HIGHLY TAX PAYERS. YOU KNOW THAT DURING LOCKDOWN HOW KEEN WAS THE GOVERNMENT TO OPEN LIQUOR SHOPS. THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS ONLY TAX WHETHER THE FUTURE OF CITIZENS IS RUINED.
