to flaunt your patriotic side, especially if you are the regular middle or upper class north Indian commoner, is to say and believe that the most corrupt people in the country (the Ambanis, Adanis, Mittals, Birlas, etc) are development icons and that the acts of big theft of public wealth they routinely do are to be seen as nation building acts !!
A large segment of middle class north Indians and the great majority of all upper class Indians have long become patriotic in this innovative manner !
But while upper class Indians have a big vested interest in suggesting that big time theft of public wealth is actually development, it is only stuxpidity that makes middle class north Indians say so !
