Actually No!! XMas and Christmas are not the same. However, for some not so meaningful reason, the two have been used interchangeably.
Calcutta loves celebrations & adventure, quest for knowledge thata the reasons they travel the most than any other community except gujrati may be.They celebrate Puja which is famous all over world the way Calcutta does with innovations & zeal, Diwali idd, christmas name a function & its celebrated so why talk obout Christmas. If you wish to see lively people than Calcutta is the place. Father of Club culture in India.I liked the phrase Rahul Jacob has coined ' before Indigo days' Leave them alone
Hegde is most misinformed. Kolkatta is City of Joy & shall ever remain. Its culture which they have inheritated from their grand parents will not be changed who so ever might try to influence them. The beauty of Bengalies are they respect all religions so if any one wants to create any misunderstanding it will not be allowed. Great article n reply by Mr Rahul Jacob. Kolkattas secular fabric can not be torn. Christmas was celebrated with the same zeal in left regime as under Trinumul Congress.
