Cotton fabrics are forgotten factors. Many shops are simply duping the public and only selling nylon or some synthetic fiber materials. Even Khadhi board shops are displaying more synthetic materials.
I for one wear Indian clothes just to make my students not look down upon Indian clothes. By the time the next generation grows up in this globalized capitalist world, our culture will become mere costumes that people wear on rare occasions or life events, paying lip-service to a bygone era.
