The Hilsa is called Pulasa in Andhra Pradesh. It is normally prepared in the morning and eaten in the evening in the dinner time or if cooked at evening then it is eaten in next day lunch. When somebody cooks this fish the aroma reaches every household in the village. After eating this fish that unique aroma stays in your hands for days. It is costliest and tastiest fish, very popular in East Godavari and West Godavari districts. The fish is not sold or bought like any other fish in these regions, it is normally auctioned. It is a matter of pride to eat this fish in these areas.
Well, personally I didn't liked this fish, it is tasty no doubt but is full of fish bones, very difficult to eat it.
