Urban Indians are egoistic, status based and has less of social responsibility when it comes to understanding the situation and sacrificing their comfort. So, even if they spend hours and hours in the midst of traffic and travel, they would still not be ready to take cycle to work. Secondly, the Govt. or Municipal Corporation is also not keen to address pollution issue and encourage people to take cycle to work/office/school by making cycle track and providing cycles, cycle park etc. atleast in the intitial stage.
yes, its the best news that i have off late. Reduces pollution levels, reduces traffic on the roads, no honking sounds, parking space is eased out due to less two and four wheelers.... what more do you want? But, we are lazy, highly egoistic and show off personalities. what will they say if i go on a cycle? its not for me.... this attitude will dampen the spirits... need to market agrressively this laudable concept
