rice and tur daal (half of the rice) soaked and drained. After half an hour above mixture is shallow fried for five minutes in cooking oil. In another pan tadka prepared with mustard seeds, cummin seeds, green chilies and Currey leaves. Water the 1.5 times to rice daal is added inthis pan. Asafoetida, termeric powder, desiccated coconut and salt is added. When it starts boiling rice and daal is added and cooked on low flame till it is completely cooked. Served with onion raita.
