by dominating too much, bringing their pride and ego in all their decisions and thinking of self benefit and manipulating own child and using them for work endlessly without any remorse.

atleast my own and extended family has been the same.

The parents are equally responsible for not making their children self dependent at an early age. The child is pampered which in turn makes him stubborn and unthankful. Plenty of money or you can say display of wealth is also a problem. The child becomes materialistic and irresponsible. The upbringing of a child at tender age should be nurtured and taught lessons of life . He should be taught nothing comes for free and he has to earn it.

This is a tricky issue. In most of the homes, the ones with wisdom are always ridiculed, sidelined (most of the times by the better half)and never in a position to guide the children. So the children enjoy it and are never trained to take up responsibilities.

This articles seems to be more interesting like a story.

It displays the self-centered son who doesn't want to leave the house for he may loose the benefits and authority in all ways.

At the same time it shows the mindset of other
members of the family which reminded me of a tamil
proverb which goes like this:

ANNAN EPPO SAAVAAN; THINNAI KAALIYAGUM.

The meaning being "people are waiting for the man (brother) who is serious and is in his last moments of life.
immediately after his death and disposal of ANNAN( the dead body)to bring the next person to the vacant place.

This is the mindset of most people all over the world which says they are Most Self-centred.
