Lack of trust
by UmaShankar on Mar 27, 2017 10:53 PM

Police and Doctors have a common element. People lack trust in them.

Unless forced by circumstances and health no one wants to visit either of them. The reason? they fleece money when it is convenient to them.

So now if the Doctors are demanding sympathy they need to also understand the genesis of the problem. Hope each passing doctor and the ones at the helm stress more on Healthcare rather can practicing medicine alone.

DOCTOR'S STRIKE
by vijayanjanardhanan on Mar 27, 2017 10:26 PM

Dear Doctors,
you have put on a strike because of an assault on a doctor. But have anyone of you even enquired as to what led to that incident? There may be a father who might have lost his son/daughter or a mother who might have lost her father or children..infact it could be anybody...But it is due to negligence on the part of the doctors due to which people gets killed while under treatment...There had been many such incidents all over India..You won't see such strikes by doctors in other countries because in those countries the doctors would be held responsible for death due to negligence. Here in our country you get away with even death of patients due to negligence...and thats the reason for doctors in India getting assaulted by public..So let the doctors change their approach to patients, then automatically such incidents of assaults would never take place.

Doctors are not GODS
by Ravi S on Mar 27, 2017 10:01 PM

Please try to see a human being in a doctor as well...Don`t treat them as GODS who can cure anything and everything. They dont need your support.Just show them some sympathy as a fellow human being.

Poor resident doctors
by Pat ramdoss on Mar 27, 2017 05:50 PM

Sad that how different stake holders in the society condemns these doctors, who are our best student brains and get these positions through highly competitive environment and willing to put the extra grueling schedule, Instead of blaming the lethargic public health machinery, poor infrastructure and poor politics displayed. Also comments from people who don't understand, from different section is is in bad taste. To understand better, i suggest a visit to these hospitals at odd hours to witness the plight of these residents

Then again
by Indian Sadhu on Mar 27, 2017 05:44 PM

Doctors tend to stick together and it is difficult to get one to implicate the other. Also, Doctors get you to sign a bond before a major operation, "they will not be held responsible if something happens" and then your relative dies because of their negligence, you will take action against them won't you?

If they don't want to work, throw them out. People will eventually find an alternative. There is no need to regulate. Let an open market take care of it.
