I have visited Agra fort, Fatehpur sikhri, and other historical places in northindia. They are maintain the places very beautifully. I am happy about it.
But at the same time I feel unhappy regarding the historical places in Tamilnadu. Its the worst maintained one. Nobody the government, the officials, the staff and even the public are not interested in maintaining the historical monuments.
They are very indifferent. For example in Madurai The Naicker dynasty's palace has vanished completely except the museum. It has been occupied by the public.
