Depression?

Most people who call depressed or suffering from depression are not really suffering from that. Many people does not know or understand what is depression is. Just they Google come to a conclusion and go to doctor for medical help. And many doctors too does not sit and diagnose. Whatever the patient says they just give medications. Furthermore, the patient with too much Google Knowledge match their feelings wrongly with the symptoms mentioned with depression.
Moreover, depression is not a illness but unfortunately the English medication has termed it and we are accepting it as illness. It is a mental disorder. What was working fine is not in working fine because it is not in order or in disorder. Does medication helps completely? No. Depression normally comes out of guilt, lose of purpose of life, meaningless living, worry,etc. Most people get into anxiety because the fear of future.
Changing the lifestyle, behavioral pattern, thinking pattern and focusing on the present can cure depression and anxiety for sure. To make the cure fast, fortunately, there are so many techniques like meditation, Taichi, NLP, CBT,etc. are available today.

It happens to the sensitive and soulful people who seek a meaning to life. Like Oscar Wilde said (paraphrasing) "Of the two tragedies in life, the first of which is not being able to achieve success, the more serious one is the second- achieving success and seeing a void before you." I know it can be dealt with, by doing help to others incognito until it becomes an obsession.

Normally we tend to keep away from people and regular life to much after something. That is when something snapa and we feel all alone.... leading to morbid self defeatist thinking. All we need is to reconnect... not face book not the internet but go out and connect . Another effective method is physical exercise that neutralises the toxins with life rich energy.

It is not easy but doable. Kill it when it begins otherwise it is monstrous.

Depression - please help out

depression is a change in the brains chemical equilibrium, not sure about the real reason. It can be treated, all that a person needs is love and care. Thereafter they return to normal behavior. Our society needs to be sensitized about mental illness in general.
