Vegetarianism is inexorably linked

to purity in India ??

Really ??

And the fact that more than 60 % of all Indians and more than 70 % of the population in many north Indian states defecating in the open is not, of course, linked in any manner to purity is just coincidental ??

That cities in ^pure^ India invariably count among the filthiest and most polluted in the world surely does not affect the purity of India at all !

That Indians habitually litter, spit and throw refuse all over and generally consider the entire Universe outside the four walls of their houses as a gigantic dump yard will not take away from the purity of India in any manner !

That a very large number of Indians - even middle and upper class Indians - have foul body or mouth odors that hit others standing metres away will not and must not be considered to be affecting the purity of India in any manner !!

Such facts ought not to be raised or referred to when we go into another one of our regular self delusionary ventures about purity and cleanliness, of course !

And oh, of course, such stinks and throwing of refuse and open defecation all are caused solely and exclusively by those eating non-vegetarian food !!

Foul mouth odors are of course, to be considered - forget all about the reality - the afflictions solely of those eating non-vegetarian food !

Hat's Off To You

I am a vegetarian and for the same reasons as Aakar...animals in our country are not treated well and are subjected to extreme cruelty before they are put on our plates. Live crabs are put in boiling water and I have seen a live tortoise being carved on Digha beach and being sold to ten different buyers, at the end of it it was still alive...bravo Aakar, make me so proud of you

What can we expect from a Baniya Agarwal!
Illogical justifications, you can see only animal cruelty.. why can't you see plants crulty by infusing so much pesticides, abusing filthy protective chemical films on Fruits which are lethal and poisonous in long run.
Many people are sufferin from Stomach cancer these days due to adulterated food.
a flat-head like Baniya will always think about his own bhakti first before searching internet for reasons for Vegan problems too!

Pricking egos
by True Voice on Jul 13, 2017 03:21 PM

I know this article pricks the ego of many because vegetarianism is not a sign of healthy habit in this country. It is an ego and sign of purity. booolshit. Go and visit different countries and see how they live there with more dignity.

Non-violence

I wonder how you went on with your charade of non-violence all these years while being being an avid meat eater. Nothing wrong with eating meat, but then one mustn't do drama about ones belief in non-violence and pretending to be a liberal.
