why so much on science?
by Swaminath M on Jan 12, 2017 11:36 AM  | Hide replies

Science has done wonderful contribution. In Physics, there is a near saturation point except theory of particles. Even in Biology, there are no takers as career seekers. what we need is skills development and making science benefits all. Instead of teaching all the law of Physics/chemistry. only handful are to be trained in basic science and the rest in the applied skills. Save money, time and efforts. Rural India needs, skills and employment.

In other government jobs, pension was removed probably for the employees who joined after 2004, but in many Government research organizations, the pension facility was not given to even those employees who joined in the end of last century. In addition, 7th pay commission was not applicable for the scientists of Government Research organizations. Then what is the use of promoting science in villages? Let them choose a better career to earn better so that they can do something to uplift the condition of their families and neighborhood.
