At least IDLI is an Indian. Telugu people used to call it KUDUMU and its shape is not round but vertical cooked in a soil or metal make tumbler. later on round shaped idli occupied its place. So we do not agree that idli was of some foreign origin

Its not Indian. It came via Siberia, through the mountains of Monolia, then on to Bejing. From there it went to Tokyo, to California and from there to Persia via Dubai.. from Dubai it came to Thekkady...

Chillies are clearly from outside India & the article is correct about the Portuguese brining it here
