Jobs in India
by Aashish on May 31, 2019 03:26 PM

Getting a decent job in India has always been a challenge for Millennials because of the growing competition and unemployment in India. I recently came across this website https://movecoast.com which helps with migrating abroad. There are many countries that are hiring professionals from India because of the talent we have. Check out this website, might be of help.

by akhil prakash on Apr 05, 2018 11:54 AM

its not so easy for a fresher to get decent and good job in india, have you ever wondered why? Because of highly skilled population there are lots and lots of competition for the job and it'll only increase day by day, this is where training pays of, do job oriented courses and gain more knowledge and build your career in it field,

freshers with certification in different fields has more chance of getting recruited , why waiting? get certified and build your career now

It is not as simple as saying there are no jobs

It all depends on how well you prepare yourself for JOB. And actually this is a problem in India. Only top 5% of the job seekers think about it and prepare for it. They get good job and happy. Rest 95% struggle while getting job, because they are not properly prepared and educated about the job.

There is a lack of awareness about the job market. If there are opportunity in IT, then all go mad and run for it. But they did not realise that, IT sector has limits to accomodate number of people. Last 10/20 years almost 60-70% Engg. are opting for IT jobs. It is good initially but now it is bad in shape. Now the people are started blaming IT industry and saying it is going down. Actually it is not going down but actually increasing. However the recruter expects more from the candidate now than some 10/15 years back. Back in time the Companies are also less aware of the needs for this industry and recruted Engg. But put lot of efforts to educate them. However they did not get benefit of it, since after that the people left the job for higher expectation. This is very bad.

In this process all other segments of Engg are ignored by job seekers. However in other traditional Engg. segments there is not as much demand as much the students are getting out as Engg thanks to number of Engg colleges mushroomed in last couple of decades. This created the mess, and we keep blaming the industry. Please educate yourself before going for job search. First think what you really like to do.

Demand and supply in this case is Less Demand and More Supply. So quality of job, payment is going down.

You can blame for population exposion in India for it.

Lets stop talking POMPOUS

India is a cheap labor market. People who are in IT for over 20 years know it much better than others on the fringes.

It is like the fabled 'how low can you go' type bidding for IT projects.

People prance around with badges of some a IT company to show off. But we know that inside it is like a white collared labor. Nothing big innovation happening. We are trained in what the west had invented and work for cheaper cost.

10 years ago , India was monopoly when it comes to BPO jobs. Now, even Bangladesh is competition to us. For each project, we have to bid lower than -Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, HUngary and some eastern block countries apart from latest entrants - US ( yes, even for BPO jobs).

Escalation in cost of living in India meant, demand for more salaries which means the IT companies in India demand more from their customers. So the customers are leaving India and moving to cheaper destinations.

Government's propaganda of SEZs aside, there are no fresh IT companies worth their salt which are producing tangible revenues.

So they are opening SEZs but IT companies are closing at break neck speed.

The author / interviewee needs to brush up on labour laws. The minimum requirements for Factories Act & Trade Union Act are wrong.
I am not mentioning here as this post would become too long.
