By knowledge, mental illness can be over-come
by mg on Apr 09, 2017 04:01 PM

Depression, bipolar, schizophrenia etc is due to imbalance of chemicals in the brain.... right thoughts in the patient is a must to over-come these illness... I would recommend meeting a psychiatrist and undergoing counseling... medicines should be kept at a minimum dosage... Medications (English) will help recover faster... But recovering will happen if the individual suffering improves his over-all knowledge of our world.

im sorry balaji... but if you stay strong and support her.. she will see it eventually.. and yes find a good psychiatrist one who doesn't consider betraying patients trust and privacy.. and if the doctor ever tells you behind your daughters back her thoughts.. dont convey them to your daughter that you know.. she told them bcuz she trusted it wouldnt be said to anyone.. i wrote my example below.

Make Mental Health a Priority
by praveen sharma on Apr 08, 2017 10:33 AM

The article points to an important and neglected area, but the data seems somewhat misleading. A total of 8 lac people commit suicide in the world out of which 135000 or 17% are Indians which is about the same as the proportion of Indians in world population. Among women India's rank is 6th whereas for men it is 22nd. Within India Bihar has the lowest rate 0.8 perlac whereas Puducherry has the highest 38.5.

in addition to study pressure... sociopath and control freak parents... children dont even know they suffer from depression or anxiety.. i didnt understand what i went through till the age of 27.. there is no importance given to this in india.

and one of the top psychiatrists whom i approached, betrayed my trust and privacy given to her for 2 years for few extra thousands she got from my father.

im surprised im still alive.

Helplessness?
by V Nagarajan on Apr 07, 2017 05:06 PM  | Hide replies

Depression is due to helplessness. A feeling that everything is lost and there is nothing to gain.
It can also be described as the difference between a persons ambition and competence. More ambition and less competence leads to a feeling of failure. Parents and society must not push children to achieve to their expectation. Let the children perform to their own level. Happiness is also success?

Its true in India pressure is too much on XII std students to fare very well in Entrance exams/HSSC exams coz of few seats left for merit with 50% goes to reservations on caste basis, driving the meritorious to commit suicides for failure to perform very well .Likewise those getting admissions under reserved quota with average brains are committing suicides as they couldn't cope up with hard work/brains required for MBBS/IIT professional courses.Young naive teenage girl students commit suicides due to blackmailing by boyfriends/antisocial elements/sexual abuse by teachers/friends/relatives etc, compared to western countries( these kind are few there).Same in women too.

Depression-Resultant of Overall health.
by Ashutosh Mahajan on Apr 07, 2017 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

Depression is a Physiological disorder, not a Psychological one!. It is caused due to deficiency of Dopamine and Serotonin in brain. A healthy diet, exercise, sound sleep and abstinence can cure this disease. A depression caused by Genetic and Neurological reason cannot be cured permanently with Allopathic medicines. Whereas Herbal medicines can cure this condition permanently, because herbs have the capacity to interact positively with Genes and Neurons. Another simple method to cope with depression is to let the Depressive thoughts come in to mind and don't react with them. One time will come when your mind itself will get bored with these thoughts and become resistant to it. Some persons commit suicide due to very simple reason which can be managed easily, while someone bears tremendous stress but never think of suicide. Our Brain has very tremendous capacity to fight with Stress and Depression, but most of the unlucky persons don't recognize it and commit suicide before Brain can manage that situation.

Abstinence from sex. Because sexual activity utilizes our valuable nutrients from Semen and Brain. Masturbating children who don't have semen to ejaculate also losses valuable nutrients in the following way:- Even though masturbating children don't ejaculate semen, they utilizes valuable chemicals in brain which requires lots of nutrients like Zinc, Vitamin-B12, Calcium, etc to reproduce again.

X utilizes chemicals like Dopamine and Serotonin during C' max. These chemicals requires lots of other valuable nutrients like Zinc, Vitamin-B12/B-6, Calcium to reproduce again. Hence m' bating children who don't e'culate also suffer from these deficiencies.
