A max charge should be fixed, lets say rs 25/km, below this competitive pricing should work and market forces would eventually determine how cabs are priced.
OLA & UBER Taxies are plying in Nagpur city since more than 15 Months and they are charging fare very competitive and less they are picking from Residence to the desired place in the city and the drivers are also polite as well a they are driving very gently as compare to the Autowalas of Nagpur who never ply their Vehicles on Meter and drive very roughly and brakeing Signals and charging much higher Fare as compare to OLA & Uber.
These are same everywhere. The police have given up discipline these ppl. Most of these hv a police hand and 5his is evident from the way they talk or argue.
Ola charged me Rs 59 for 2.9 kms yday....no traffic in the morng at Hyderabad. Refund expected. Ola never responds to grievances. 8801578251 dt 7.9.16

Autos....Whether Ola or Uber or yellow, yellow are a rule unto themselves. Whether it is Trivanathapuram or Chennai or Hyderabad or Bengaluru these drivers are the same.Harass and squeeze the customer.
I hired an Ola Auto yday at Hyd for 2.9 kms the charge was Rs 59. I had to pay. Ola have no system to respond to customer grievances.....not complaints.
The fare shown is = taxi fate at Rs 20 per km. Hyd RTO has not fixed this high a rate.
I demand at least Rs 20 back/credit. I am writing to RTO Hyd if I dont a proper response from Ola.

there is a minimum charge involved. the fare seems reasonable considering you got a AC cab right at your home. dont you think ? Usually the driver is a good 2-3 kms away from your home so the charges cant go below this.
