Hinduism supports self-adornment and self-expression. In the times of yore too, Hindu girls would adorn them to the hilt and express their feminine sides liberally. The purdah system and conservatism entered India from alien lands in the later years. So, western dresses probably express the feminine sides of the girls and as its not inconsistent with the local culture so I don't see any harm in it. It all depends upon our attitude and perception. How we look at it.
