This is typical Indian parents. Over protective, possessive, boasting of their kids average skills and performance and clinging on to them and and not allowing them to have their life. Especially since she is probably the only child, every emotion is doubled, making the girl suffocate.
All is not well about their relation, which is again normal - but the way it is glorified, I didn't enjoy it at all. The relation is born out of possessiveness, but mutual mistrust started at teenage and went on.
Only advise I can give the parents is, let the girl live her life and do not spoil her marriage with your possessiveness, which sounds like the next thing to happen.
I know this is actually written by the daughter and she might have done a poor job of expressing her parents feelings, but I have to take it as it is meant to be.
BTW, such and ugly daughter for a good looking father and average looking mother!

Who says she is ugly. She is very beautiful. I think you either do not know the meaning of beauty or you have jealousy over such girls. It is being said that face is the mirror of the heart and inner beauty is more important than the external looks. From her appearance, it is clear that she has a good heart.
