Gender equality
by Manohar Rao on Nov 28, 2016 05:42 PM

When it comes to harassment, it is unwritten rule that women are the victims everytime. But times have changed. Although, the incidents of harassment of men by women is very low, it increasing exponentially. At the workplace, in the malls, in the buses, in the trains and so on. It is not sexual harassment but the abuse of the power which the law and society has given to women, which is more hurting. For example, if I happen to touch a women mistakenly or accidentally then I will be accused as a pervert or a flirt and immediately beaten up to pulp. The women easily escapes the police inquiry and I will be put into jail or asked to pay hefty fine or compensation or both.
The married men's position is even worse because if his wife makes a complaint against him then not only he but his entire family will be arrested and shamed.
I hope strict laws against such false accusations and complaints should come so that there will be true gender equality and neither of the gender can take undue advantage.
