I have taken another route..... I visited D-Mart and was standing near payment counter and if any person planning to pay in cash , I used my Debit Card for him and collected cash from him. It helped me a lot and people were enjoying this kind of approach.

Even I have not visited a single ATM...!! What is the Big Deal in it...?? But yes majority of us who use high technology and high speed internet should now stop spending in cash..!! Even those who are not very updated with new technology can also learn ...!! It is very easy...!! Youngsters must help elderly people to make them abreast of latest technology and related developments...this would realize Digital India vision of our PM...!!

All those who write here and also the woman about whom an article was wasted live in Metropolitan cities where every other shops have machines to wipe the debit/credit cards. Why don't you people understand that those crores of people who live in rural areas and small towns suffer due to accute cash crunch as they form 98% of people who deal only in cash in India.
All the government had to do was levy 2% service tax on all withdrawl over Rs 10,000 in high denomination notes. Similar tax for deposit. similarly rebate of 2% could have been given on high value transaction done through digital means. Govt (indian railways, cinema halls, petrol pumps, electricity dues) was charging service charges on digital payment. It is Government which was encouraging cash payment and they are to blame. There is hardly an action on dishonour of cheque. First above should have been corrected. Majority would have given up cash on their own.
