Even I haven't visited any ATM till now. Nor have I have rushed to deposit my old currency notes. I will surely do it when the queues, I call it panic queues, subside and we have a normal bank day.

Yes, in few cases it is necessary to have required cash in hand. But most people can actually survive this demonitisation queues if they show some restraint.

Go Cashless

All this sounds good for big cities and metros what about small towns , 90 percent people there do not use plastic money and no provision for paytm and all that stuff. Shopkeepers are not that updated and tech savy think of paying a rickshawallah by credit card , online , etc etc etc whatso ever

I live in small city name is Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. I have only 2 debit card. From last 2 years I have not visited ATM to withdraw money. I have to go CDM every 2nd day to deposit the money and I am not facing any problem of non availability of money. As I am regularly receiving a Rs. 100/-, Rs. 50/- note by my customer.

ATM/Bank not a necessity these days
by rohit agrawal on Nov 25, 2016 01:25 PM  | Hide replies

I have not visited this ATM in November, even before the announcement of demonetisation. After this step also did not bother to be there rather left for other needy people to visit. When I can manage without cash why should I unnecessarily increase the line outside ATM and Bank. I have old currency notes but I also know there is time till 31-Dec. So its better to leave it for those who are in dire need to stand outside ATM/Bank than us hoarding the line and making it difficult for the people who actually need hard cash in their hands. Hope people who can manage, forbid themselves from withdrawing Cash from ATM/Bank and keeping it at home. Let the needy people withdraw cash and as the cash flows in the Market all will be well.

A good Step taken for the people of India and I do hope and Pray that we support and stand with our Government. This is not a time to support or un-support Modi but to support our beloved Motherland, our Country... Jai Hind..!!!!! :) :)

Can you please teach the farmers and senior citizens of India?
Can you ask the shopkeepers to continue the transactions with old currency till Dec 30th for grocery as the Bank will do. Can you ask the RBI and BJP to allow the Co-operative banks which has most of farmers account for this functioning? In India 60% sector today is still based on Agriculture...If the farmers cannot get money even today that means its a failure on BJP and RBI part.
