I TOTALLY AGREE AND THANKS REDIFF FOR POSTING THIS ARTICLE.FOR BETTER FUTURE AND DEVELOPED INDIA WE HAVE TO GO CASHLESS SYSTEMS.I CONGRATS MR. ABHISHEK FOR TRYING THIS AND GIVING INSPIRATION TO OTHER INDIANS TO GO CASHLESS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
Keeping hands on the shoulders of poor people does not prove empathy towards the needy. India is a very big country. What can be done in small countries, may be for India much to think about before implementing anything policy. Digitization can bankrupt too. Read Sidney Sheldon's Novels by purchasing with your credit/debit cards. There are people working in private companies and get hardly anything after retirement. Do you want them to die at low interest from banks.

then take over the administration and show the world what you can do for your country. Do not become an arm chair critic. Do something in your life. I am sure, you have NOT DONE ANYTHING WORTHY till this moment. Change that and do something for your country dear.

The great majority of Indians experience cashlessness every day and take loan to survive But the Rich are knowing about without being cash may be for the first time. So all this. Nobody had ever asked for JPC to enquire about the poor having gone without cash for so long. Now if the opposition wants JPC first they must have allow themselves to be questioned for the lapse of having 84% high denomination and 16% small denomination notes and they must come with declaration of their wealth yearwise ,not just the present wealth R.PONNAMBALAM
If he could have lost his wallet aswell along with Mobile. More than 60% villagers are loosing their battle against crops and have not been able to take wages. I am managing 90 percent of my work sitting at home using cards. I am not sure, how long I am going to survive this way as I will not get 75 percent of my pay. So credit card people are going to eat me away from next month. Thank BJP and Modi for ruining my life.

replace Modi with yourself and show India that you are smart and more capable than Modi. By the way please list your achievement so far in your public life
Your message shows a picture, travelling in autorickshaw, but there is no matter in this article about how autorickshaw expenses are paid. I expect information in detail about this.

From Jodhpur
I have been to a puncture shop for my bike tyre pucture. The shop owner accepts paytm. A sign board was there, I enquired and the person confirmed. Where there is a will there is a way
I appreciate rediff for this article. The mindset of people should change. You need to go cashless to the maximum extent possible.
I have seen in TV people complaining that they are not able to pay rent of Rs. 5000/- due to withdrawl limit - They could pay through cheque or transfer
Its only mindset. Most people standing in ATM queue are hurrying to withdraw as they are afraid of not having cash. They could do it online, swipe or mobile wallets etc.
Remember Your white money is becoming black once you pay by cash. The kirana store, owner of your house etc take cash and pay no tax just making your hard earned white money to black.
1. When Kolkata was getting first metro in India, a class of people smelt foul play and created chaos 2. When Rajiv Gandhi started communication revolution some people told he was over ambitious 3. Our future is certainly cashless economy. Unfortunately no political leader is advising that. In stead they are creating chaos needlessly. We will understand its merits in due course.
"Abhishant says everyone has a mobile phone, and one can pay them for their services by recharging their mobile phones." If people recharge his/her phone, still he need some cash to by vegetables etc. Someone won't deduct from his mobile balance and give food.

Use Online vendors: Big Basket, Groffers, etc I am doing it now since I did not have any notes to exchange, nor could find time to go to the bank and none of the ATMs work. Groceries, cigarettes, booze, veggies/fruits - everything can be bought cashless; instead of wasting data on sleaze, do so on essentials

At least they can have a start. What say!!. Good encouraging article by the writer...
cash less economy will only end corruption...we should work at individual level to encourage this among uneducated and poor people like being done by Abhishant in this article. Citizens should also think and work towards growth of country
