BLACK MONEY
by PSV SHARMA on Nov 11, 2016 11:18 AM

In Iran , they don,t have higher value currency at all.Their they deposit 1.5 % of the total sales in a road side box every night and ,next day morning govt is arranging to take the deposited amount. There is no other tax at all . It is a black money free . country. Similarly , by taking such steps by NAMO we also must exist only wih white money , by paying a small amt of tax .Hope we r in he right direction .

Dont bet on that . There has been no serious backlash from the people of the country from any parts , which shows that people inspite of the hardships , have accepted the change for the good. All those cribbing are becoming silent.
So rediff has no much choice other than , atleast publish such a article.
Anyway kudos for atleast publishing this article.
I will never belive that Rediff has been converted into a Modi admirer.

by Purity Systems on Nov 11, 2016 11:06 AM

Rs 1000 or 2000 notes are for convenience of person to carry money and not for hoarding. no problem ..let the people hoard rs 2000 notes and then eliminate it after 2 -3 years ...they will learn lesson.

Modiji has taking best step as PM to curb black money, corruption, Pakisthan Indian money economy terror and others. Real estate is filled with corrupt, anti nation, unethical people in congress, SP, BSP, CPI, CPM, TMC, AIDMK, JDS, JDU, AAP and other parties. So we want India and Indians grow is strong, ethical manner to sustain Growth.

Role of new Rs 2000 notes?

I am just curious if in future the 2000 rupees notes will become the vehicle of black money and how can that be prevented?

Can not be prevented. Black money will be re-born slowly & yet again another step some years later will occur. PM's step was good but in haste. Haste has left many simple ones in difficulty. Mr Arun Jaitley's hard stance added to the woes. He should have soft with words. Compassionate with the general Indian. Or else this was a ok move. Thanks

After surgical strike at border and political chest thumping drama on the same, it is business usual now. Similarly, the recent surgical will have same effect after lapse of some time. Again there will be business usual about corruption and black money.

Yes in future, 2000 notes can be hoarded. To prevent it, only one rupee notes are to be printed and nothing else.

Yes i do agree. As per yesterdays TV report, in 2002, chidambaram has given order to japanese company for supply of paper for 1000 notes. They were refular supplier to pakistan also. Though BJP Obejcted atthat point of time, it gone in vain.
