sad children

This is true to my heart. As mother and father are making money, the children will live in his own life. At the same time the son / daughter really got no responsibility to these type of money makers said parents. Most of the women need money , status in the society and want their children to grow to their aspiration like IIT, high studies further burdening the children. Those who run for money will not be happy nor their kith and kin will be happy.this is LAW of nature.

I am in total agreement with the writer's emotional outburst. I wish someday I am in a position to provide all mothers an environment where they can balance both work and motherhood till their baby is independent enough to take his/her care by himself and are not left with any grudges.

Sorry to all mothers who go through such incidents in life zillion times.

I wish I could bring the change.

Amen.

mothers letter to kid
by NAKUL RANA on May 04, 2016 11:53 AM

I can understand the feeling of mother , this is the drawback of nuclear family, whereas in joint family most of the child\'s up-bringing is taken care by the elderly person like grandma who are more experienced and professional in that field and mothers leave them for daily course of work in rural areas. they never feel this sort of emotional detachment in-fact mother feel more secure about their kids when kids are with their grand parent.

balancing life and work for a mother

yes true, it does hurt the mothers feeling to leave the baby back home. But its also mothers responsibility to make sure that the baby's future is also safe so that later she does not repent for having quit the job.

Its subjective

It depends on the individual. Respect the views of the writer, but all women need not be made to be feel guilty for working and pursuing a career.

A letter to my son
by Debjani Sengupta on May 03, 2016 06:12 PM

The story reminds me the day I left for office leaving my five and half months old buddy with the baby sitter for the first time. Whole day he went on starring on wall n roof as if someone a part of him, had disappeared suddenly. When I came back I saw him listening eagerly to my footsteps.

Oh my children...

Time doesn't wait or stop...it's cruel at times. As a father n a parent, can just say, enjoy, savour and make it the same for your kid from even before the birth....the moments are peerless and non-returnable. Finally, to leave the kids in the morning and rejoin in the evening, is just the cruel part-of-their-growing-up. Only thing is never leave a child unattended (for preventing major injuries) but let them fall and run and bump but don't be overtly protective..confused...just be at a reachable distance to lend a hand and always have an eye on the child. Childhood is precious. enjoy it!
