Celebrating Women's day is a nice thing, but real relevance of Women's day celebration can happen only the day Women respects women, which means a modern women respects and understands their rural folk and feel for them, a mother-in-law loves and respects daughter-in-law, working women respects home makers etc etc. and vice versa. Whereas in today's India, when a rural women is harassed or raped, it hardly makes any difference for a well-off, urban working girl. Forget fighting or protesting such atrocities, they would not even spare a minute to feel for others. Had all the women united in this country, the Women's Bill in Parliament would have been passed. The biggest hurdle for the growth and development of women folk in India are women only. Growth and Development doesn't mean earning money or salary or becoming a successful businesswomen. Development of women means growth of women in terms of intellectual, compassion, fighting for unfortunate women's rights and gaining respect and helping out a solution for a decent living.

Starting with my My mother, then my Ardhangini , my sisters and aunties and aunts in the society and other female friends, colleagues, neighbors, I Congratulate all women in the world "A HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY" Unlike what is made out in the Press and Media who want to increase their TRP, a women in the society is an equal to the men she deals with. The society respects them. Strained relationship with the spouse, boss and other members of the family or society is common to both gender. The wife/woman who takes care of the house is equally important compared to a working women. It is an option and one cannot belittle a Housewife or a maid in the house or a mother or mother in law. The women in the poor house holds are bread winners and home makers. They till the land and raise foods and vegetables for the households in towns. The maids, though ill treated by Madams in the rich households, are the real contributors who take care of the kids of the rich. I praise and pray for all of them on this women's day.
If you find yourself at the wrong place at the wrong time, irrespective of whether you are a male or a female, in India or abroad, you may end up in trouble. Men get robbed or killed every day going to work, but it doesn't get reported as male harassment. More women are going to work and hence more such cases are being reported. It is not due to some conspiracy of the patriarchal society.
