Learning without discipline is useless. Music without practice is pointless. Marriage without love is baseless. Likewise, Knowledge WITHOUT character is useless.

will top the rank for the activities other than education such as beef festivals, campus sloganeering, agitations, anti-national speeches supporting divisive thoughts in the name of freedom of speech, hatred against hindooism, political tool for left, moslem & congees etc.

You did not notice that none of top universities had bans on beef, campus politics (it is encouraged), student activism, freedom to critique any form of 'nationalism', freedom to critique religion (any including Christianity), Left activism, Muslim participation etc. That freedom and absence of jingoist and religious bans are also what makes those universities great. It is the mentality of the 'spuedo-patriots/ nationalist' and religious politics that underlines your grudge that would be the ruin of these institutions. Fortunately, the freedom survives. The 4 Indian universities in the list are no exception though your religious sectarian party is trying to destroy them.

@ Mr Bhaumik : Would you have any specific comment re the anti-India slogans raised by students of JNU in their campus? Freedom is all okay ... but freedom is never without boundaries. When the boundaries are self-chosen and abided by, freedom thrives.

For your info, JNU is one of the top-ranked universities in the world. Google 'Top 100 of the QS World University Rankings list'. Objectively speaking, it is among the very best in India too. Don't be influenced by the sectarian religious politics of BJP to deny the truth.

Which one is the 4th Indian university?
by Arthur Butler on Mar 07, 2016 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

Now here goes the clear partiality. The 4th Indian University that has succeeded to get a global rank is the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) but since Rediff people too cannot dare to go against the Government's will of discouraging the Minorities, and so they din't took a pain to declare its name there even.

Not police station , court and high court and media for all the wrong reasons. IIT Delhi is just across the road from JNU and such a vast difference.
