HDFC ATM machines are very dangerous as many times I have noticed cards get stuck. I also had a similar experience in HDFC ATM machine. My suggestion: never never try HDFC ATM.
We talk about so much of advancement but lot of things that could be achieved to protect misuse of ATM. I could see people wearing helmet and going in to ATM and with sensors available even for monitoring so many thing why can't the ATM be preset to shut automatically if some body enters with covered face partly or fully. Similarly if the CC TV camera is not showing picture the interface should shut the machine with additional camera or other gadgets tracking the finger print. Most of the ATM have security who are not present or they are too old to handle emergency. Banks should work closely with technology people to bring radical changes to protect misuse
To avoid ATM misuse by Cheaters, Reserve Bank of India should make use of Mobile no. compulsory after password. That Mobile no. shall be for ATM only and not to be shared.
Once got cheated in Gurgaon, I tried to withdraw 10,000 from my PNB ATM Card but nearby I did'nt find any PNB ATM so I tried it in another bank ATM (UNION BANK,SOHNA ROAD,BADSHAPUR,GURGAON) . Immediately I got message in my mobile of deduction 10,000/- but I could'nt get cash from the ATM. So I immediately reported this to PNB Toll free number and also given a written complain (where my account was) to PNB,Sushantlok Branch, GURGAON. This was happened in 9th March-2016. Till date, I did not get my money back after three months.
