ATM experiences
by Pulipakkam SrinivasaRaghavan on Jul 10, 2016 05:57 PM

I'm living in Hyderabad and writing this message.
My accounts are in Andhra Bank, Hyderabad. None of their ATMs ever function and you are welcomed by "sorry" message on the monitor. I have to invariably use other Bank's ATMs for which, within split of a second of the transaction, Andhra Bank is prompt to debit my Accounts with Rs.29 for each transaction.

Nor do I get SMSes for debits/credits to my Accounts.

But, they are regularly debiting my Accounts with SMS Charges and ATM charges. My complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

Do you expect PSBs in India to be efficient and heed public suggestions? They are from outer world and we, the customers, are like insects.

The more dangerous points are: None of the ATMs of all the Banks - all PSBs (SBI, PNB etc) and all Private Banks - Axis, ICICI etc., are clean. Two ACs were initially functioning - they it became one and even that one is not operational. The pathetic scene is: the AC units are full of dust and its grill and sills dangle.
With customers frequenting in and out, the room is filled with stench air - full of carbon-dioxide as there is no scope for fresh air to circulate.
And, you have the third terrible scene: the floor is not swept for days - you can find layers of sand dry mud.
Added to it, our customers should also be blamed - their ATM slips are strewn all over the floor, torn or crumpled.
But, rediff is calling for public opinion. Do you expect any Bank to read these and rectify their negligence

ATM Woes
by Thomas Chacko on Jul 06, 2016 11:58 AM

It is routine for us to go through the whole process of inserting the ATM card, typing our PIN, choosing the transaction needed and the amount we would like to withdraw, and then be told that there is no cash in the machine, followed by a condescending suggestion to visit another ATM.In there days, when machine intelligence is quite advanced, is it not possible to inform the users of the non-availability of cash before they go through this time-consuming process?

Hallo ATM

Losing the card or someone copying the details are common. We rarely show the inclination to beat the fraudsters. Why shd we have a card? Just key in the card nbr and pw. The pw changes for every transaction.

why give all the details on the card? keep it separately. This is safe. why risk?

ok, Mr Raj the perfect, you never make a mistake and you are Mr Perfect.
Let me ask you wife and she will expose your ineptness.
Talking about others as fools when they openly admit their mistake in order for others not to repeat them is a virtue.
You peanut sized brain might not understand it, so stop deciphering this message
