At KK three seas are meeting , a nice scene besides attractive sites to visit. nice people and co-operative in general. Cost of living is fine. all love mother India in their own way. Atmosphere is bit spiritual . one can enjoy weather during winter season.
Kanyakumari, of course so good. One gentleman said it is horrible and so hot. Of course during summer months it used to hot throughout India. It is as good as Kerala. The most literate district of TN, may be in India too. It was under the grip of Travancore King till independence. Till British beyond south of Madurai were ruled only by Indian origin dravidian Kings and against British first freedom fight started from these southern districts during late 1700. But Kanyakumari is yet to have any big industry to pollute.
the scenes look good in photographs. In reality the place is horribly humid and hot and the trawlers that take you to the rock ante hugely substandard and risky, not to mentionn the dirt and the long q and no protection from the sun. Language is also a huge barrier. What looks good does not necessarily feel good !!! happy Journey.

Mr.Ghosh, In which season did you visit Kanyakumari? KK is hot and humid only in Summers. Its an awesome place. Do you expect a whole country to speak in one language?

I have visited Kanyakumari...Excellent place. All places have some things which people do not like. But one should look at the positives points only. Sea shore areas are naturally humid. But I found Kanyakumari a lovely place in all resp.

I have visited Kanyakumari thrice. It is a beautiful place. No doubt that Swami Vivekananda attained self realisation here. It is all in the air. No language is definitely not a barrier here.
