She can do it and will be successful for a while only, Can she clean the dirty habits of the people and the Commercial institution who dump rubbish in Ganga and solute it in the first place, Rubbish of all kind including half burned dead bodies rotting away. One enters Ganga with a 100 germs on ones body and comes out not cleaned but with million more germs.

the ganga will never get cleaned because -- INDIAN HIGH CLASS PEOPLE as well as local / state level/ and many other political leaders -- want to earn money from India and always have a vacation out of india . THE FILM STARS DO THE SAME . Ganga cleaning will require - set up of water treatment plants -- but no body is willing to put up -- both the industries as well as the corporations -- the money thus saved is used for vacations out of india .IF THE GOVT HAD INTENSIONS OF CLEANING THE GANGA -- IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN LAST 10 YEARS OR SAY 30 YEARS with proper planning .
This is main reason for under development. Father want son to obey,Guru want his disciple to obey, Master want servent like this..... Offical will not allow young to come up. But Lord of Lords got his doubt cleared by his son.The place is called "Swamimali" in Tanjore , Tamilnadu

The arrogance of the bureaucrats and "I don't care attitude" of the political leaders are responsible for the situation. The generalist bureaucrats do not want to take any advice from specialists like the lady in question. The end result Mother India suffers. No PM or any other politician howsoever noble his intent may be can change the approach of this country. Sorry state of affairs!! This comment may be deleted by rediff.

Every now & then we see bureaucrats of different states going abroad in the name of study tour,in fact they enjoy sight seeing and relaxing with family at cost of national exchequer.If they take advice from experts how can they visit abroad again..So better they keep away experts & advices.

This lady seems to be self proclaimed specialist and declaring that bureaucrats have no technical knowledge is height of ignorance. is she a fool who doesn;t even know most IAS officers are from engineering that too from IIT background.
