Quality Issue in Bullet
by Raj Gopal on Feb 02, 2016 11:43 AM  | Hide replies

Agreed its one of the cheapest bike in its class in terms of price but there are major quality issues in Bullet bikes. Starter motor, vibration, Oil leaks.

The hype created by Public relations for the classic bike is good but the manufacterer should handle these issues.

You need to be a hardcore BULLETTEER to understand every pulse of THE BIKE ! Ask any veteran....myself being on its saddle for the last 40 years...the true Bullet lovers are like the original country singers, musicians and fans of the Wild West....hardy and conditioned to WHAT IS IN THERE!

Mr.Rishi, My father used to own a Bullet (Royal Enfield) 1969 model and i use to ride it during my college days. Then also problems were many.

Getting emotional about a machine is something else but when there's a breakdown u cannot sing a song and set it right.

What i am talking about is quality of parts and not emotional quotient.

Breakdowns always cause inconvenience, whichever the machine. Royal Enfield never claimed to be an exception. That they are popularly rolling only speaks of their durability the most likely reason for which could be a result of constantly evolving mechanical efficiency. Higher effciency in a lot other bikes today comes instead at the cost of their durability, the reason why you see people replacing their bikes every 4-5 years.....royal enfield owners however don't feel the need to replace their bikes that soon.....one reason for that must be the durability of the Bullet engine. The "problem" as perceived by many in the clutch-gearbox assembly of the older models has infact been tackled with much-smoother gear operations in the newer models without removing its unique neutral-lever facility. So go ahead and keep enjoying riding this bike to the himalayan townships where you'll find a lot of Royal Enfield adventurists.....all others are for utility....this one comes with an incentive of adventure riding that charges you with every thump of the engine !
