IIT-Kharagpur's El Net-3L Project At The Turn Of The Century.....
by rishi on Jan 04, 2017 09:12 PM

......was one such "ELectronically NETworked LifeLong Learning" audio-video training program that helped thousands of scientists, engineers, (data) analysts, accountants and managers acquire IT-skills which they could soon integrate with their respective professional fields of expertise......many of these progressive professionals were in the 30-40 agegroup working in private and public sector organisations like the IT and Software Industry, DRDO, ONGC, etc.......thus their academic education did not stop with their getting the job they were in....they went further with this first major distance learning from an IIT and enhanced their professional potential.

There are 2 types of education. One is formal, given by educational institutions and the other is informal which we get as we go along in life. You can call it practical education or OJT, meaning On the Job training. So,learn, remember and apply all that you learn. Sage Truvalluvar says in Tirukkural.
"Learn well and after that apply it well", Use it in life.
