by dipesh modha on Dec 13, 2016 09:38 AM

Will they give long term almost free loan like Japan?
I don't think so. It must be economic & viable too.

Hyper loop trains
by Ashwin on Dec 08, 2016 07:32 PM

We need to reach Airports at least 1 hr in advance & spend 1 hr to reach Airport. If we can do away with domestic Air Travel with this hyper loop capsule/train since this appears to be even faster, it will be very good project. But how much would it cost & to users? How much energy would it consume & where from do we generate? Already there is limit on Carbon emission. Govt has already planned 100 Smart Cities at a cost of 40 Lak Crores. Californian Co asked for land to test & it cant be 10 miles but even for trial, it has to be 300 or 500 miles. Which Cities to they connect on trial run? Will it be permanent? One of the main reasons why train travel consume more time is not just speed but (1) No of stops - to connect smaller towns (2) Single tracks (3) Level crossings (4) Un/Loading Cargo & pantry items If we can correct these (unavoidable at present) hurdles, we can easily save almost 40% of running time, which is in itself great. If we can replace Air Travel completely, by introducing hyper loop trains, we must certainly try/introduce them. They will most likely also avoid several accidents, very common in Indian scenario, at present. Govt must also plan what they will do with so many Engines, bogies & other infrastructure which consumed laks of Crores. It is a very complex project though very much desirable which saves lot of time for all kinds of train travelers.
Hope good things will be introduced, taking into considerations, all pros & con
