With all that hoopla and a Sanskrit name for addtional effect, the train averages about 112 kmph. A far cry from the Bullet averaging 300 kmph.I am afraid the transformation will not happen in our lifetime

All types of trains except for the bullet trains are a must.We need fast trains to save on time ,time saving is as much important to the rich as also to the poor.Increase fast trains to other stations but let us get our priorities right also because we need clean bogies, hygenic food, punctuality etc.Courtesy amongst staff has increased,so maintaining this level will be a challenge.

What example govt is setting. who needs these high speed trains except few executive class people and some tourist more than 50% of the train runs empty. Why not run a high speed train for common people who commute between agra delhi everyday the working class who cant even have place to stand properly for 2 hour journey on the train.

It is not important to start fast trains for such a small distance . Railway Minister should first maintain cleaniness in normal general & 3 tier sleeper class. The kind of people travelling in such fast trains normally do not travel in general or 3 tier compartments.Pl look into their plight .

If you have travelled by train in the last year, you would know that cleanliness even in general and 3 tier sleeper has improved greatly. The rest of the problem is the passengers themselves who throw plastic wrappers, tetrapacks, plastic bottles on the floor and even spill water and spit. Until Indians learn to behave in civilized manner, full cleanliness cannot be achieved.

I am not at all surprise with some of the comments criticizing the whole event as the day PM Modi assume office contract has been given to some people to criticize him and his policies every now and then. I would like to say something about this train. Its a good beginning and we do hope many more such trains in future on other routs also. I have long back sent a suggestion of the Railways, and I would like to repeat the same. I have seen the general coaches of Mahamana Express running between Varanasi and New Delhi. I would like to request the Honorable Railway minister to please run general trains between C, D and lower class stations having coaches of this class only so that the poor people of our country should have a easy transport available between small stations. I hope this will give enough relief to the poor people of our country.

I cant turn blind to what i see. This train is not for me neither i see aam aadmi spending this amount of money to commute between Delhi and Agra. Its not the rich who brought this govt to power it was the plight of aam aadmi the reason behind BJP coming to power. What good is this train for aam janta.

Railways has to run these trains to earn profits so that it can subsidize the aam admi. Where do you think the money will come for the subsidy? From Italy?

i do not bother about news of fastest train which travels at a speed of some 160km/hr.i still think about the basic needs of mankind . i think people who travels in these trains never travels in a general compartment ofa long distance mail/express trains .i got that experience .i was travelling from ndls to ludhiana in train no12802 some where in 2004.i was standing it is ok . but i have seen a3 to 4 years kid was sleeping on below floor of the train .tears come to my eye but i am helpless .please tell the railway ministry kindly improve the service standard of these poor class compartment .speed train is ok but what is the use where people of this powerful country travels in general class compartment like commodities.it is a saying that india is a poor country where rich people are livng .who cares about these poor people who even can not complain .because they do not know where to complain .
