Rajdoot was popularly known as Ambassador of bikes. No matter what the terrain, road condition or condition of the bike itself for that matter. It just went on. The first bike I ever road stealing an eye from my cousin was Rajdoot. I was in standard 9 then. Cant forget the feeling. Still gives me goose bumps. Got lot of scolding from my mom and elder sister after the adventurous ride.
My Father used to have a Rajdoot scooter, which was big, w.r.t the length and breadth, also it has a fiber body with two independent seats, having centrally balanced engine (175cc, if I remember correctly). It used to give a good mileage about 35kms , in rough road conditions. It had enough space to sit 3 passergers, though it is bit tough to handle the middle one, sitting between 2 seats.
Moreover, it had the foot rest portion, from front to back on both sides, no separate foot rest was really required. My father owned it from 1972 - 1987, and has to give it to one of his relative for free, as the doctor suggested not to drive after a heart attack. I was a child, and he did not let me to try using the scooter.
Unfortunately, I do not have a photo to share, I still remember the two toned - medium blue white scooter.
