Congress has neglected North-East.
Gandhi family was hobnobbing with European lady.
They have never respected North-East but they are beautiful people.

Best of luck

Meghana is an inspiring example of trying a different path.Has ever tried Mumbai market? There are exhibitions regularly held to promote hand loom clothes.
Government should promote such efforts of modernizing traditional art rather than traditional ways
Best wishes to her for success.

Why should they beg?
by sirisha k on Oct 21, 2015 11:52 AM

Instead of begging to take north east indians seriously, they should develop their market for their products. Assam is famous for rich Assam silk. Now days marketing is easy through online portals. No need to show case their products in Mumbai. Let us take the example of southern states. Initially Film production, industries etc. were all based in Mumbai. Now situation totally changed. Now southern states are totally dominating in every field. World class facilities developed in these states. Government should develop infrastructure in North east for fast development of the region. They should create east Asia corridor for the growth of the region.

Seems India is yet to touch the treasure that North East India is
by Satyadeep Kumar on Oct 20, 2015 08:08 PM

India is yet to discover the treasure that North East India is;and with new money over spoiling Indian values, India is loosing the aroma , the zephyr coming from Seven Sisters. The sooner we sniff, the richer we are culturally.
