What about the Suzuki Shogun, it was launched to beat the RX100 and done it well. You can see Yamaha Rx100 on city roads but this shogun is a rare one to find.
I drove YEZDI D-250 CLASSIC for 16 years for above 2LACS Kilometers.
It was really a pleasure to ride the bike since hat was the BEST darling bike in those days for young persons with guts to ride a long distance.
I made enjoyable rides for above 300kms on it 3-4 times at a stretch without getting tired enroute.
The only drawback in it was its Fuel Efficiency, which was at 33KMPL by the company, though I used to adjust it to min 35KMPL or even @39KMPL on long routes.
But a 250cc bike in 2-Stroke, Rough & Tough and most trustworthy and enjoyable posture, YEZDI was a CLASS in ITSELF.
After riding for 16 years it was sold at the same price for which I purchased it 16 years back. ! That was YEZDI !
I happen to have owned and ridden all but YEZDI....Rajdoot 350(borrowed from a friend) gave a feel of amazing pulling power in remote Assam highways I rode on...some where along the Kaziranga National Park....that's where I rode the RX-100 too for 4yrs on the rugged kutcha-tracks in the tea-gardens.The article is a wonderful reminder of these beautiful bikes of yore !
