In one sentence, corporate India want slave to work for , so definitely in the new era of self-respect attitude most of the graduates will not fit their demand so ultimately the lesser number of graduates who is dying for living are any how ready to work at any cost and consequently their nature of behaviour would be extraneous polite ( is this soft skills they want??).
This surdy arrogance of indian corporate is because there are so much manpower available here in india ; for a single vacant post there are 1000 candidates are available to select from. In western countries there are limited number of manpower and they had to utilise it very carefully because once an employee resign for some any reason , a new appointment would be not easier to fill the vacancy since it's very natural that they (prospect employee) scrutinise the reason of resign of the previous employee and if there are ampule serious reason people would avoid to approach that organisation.
But here in India people are dying for getting employed and start erning as earlier as they can due to might be poor financial status of their family and that where the lame excuses come into picture in India.
25 % graduates and only 10% MBA's are employable then why you produce these useless product of 75% graduates and 90% MBA???? Is it the reason to run the factories (Institutes) of graduates and MBA's where these student has make hefty expenses out of parents pocket or may have taken education loan to get education.
