Dear young lady, A degree in Commerce is not a criteria to get a job in the market. Not even MBA. All organisations look out for experienced candidates. It is not their mistake, since they need someone value for money. As a fresher you should be ready to take up any job and as you gain experience and knowledge, you can start bargaining in the job market. There is no scarcity of jobs in the market and as a fresher you should not be very choosy. There is no point blaming your friends, parents or the PM for not finding a job. Same is the case for any fresher whether software engineer graduate, MBA or anyother unless you are an IITian or IIMian. Most of the fresh graduates get into good companies with good pay only through campus interviews. In degree colleges mostly sales companies would conduct campus interviews. You can always get better opportunities later with the brand you worked for and your skills.

For Experienced engineering professionals also the companies expect more but in reality have less opportunities to execute/use the minimum skills one degree holder having.when u are searching a job u need to have lot many skills but in actual no use.year by year you forget/loose ur skills and become frustrated.

U r perfectly right.IT companies success ratio is only 10% becz if they put a technology where only maintenance then future went in a deep dark hole and package will be same
I am not getting interview calls for Bankins. This is horrible, i have told everyone that i am ready to work entry level also(I have 6 years of Finance Work Ex)
Besides I am a MBA Finance(NMIMS, Mumbai), have completed 2 Levels of CFA, USA and FRM Part I from GARP. Having no contacts is not helping me I guess.

Sir I am not able to understand ur query. As per ur CFA and FRM any IT company will give u a job....I think ur expectations are too high
getting a job without any refrence is a big task , SPECIALLY AS PER YOUR QUALIFICATION -- WHICH HAS NO VALUE IN THE JOB MARKET AS THERE ARE lacks of them who are more qualified than u .Better U start taking tutions for school children -- first free of cost to gain confidence from u r clients - students then charge fees / This is the biggest business now / or WORK IN SOME COACHING CLASSES - u can go for teaching also. / Being a commerce u may end up with job like cashier in bank - who only counts money whole day and fills up the passbook / there are others who only fill up applications for new accounts / there are officies where there is only data entry work / All these are donkey work in most of the places - PREPARATION OF FACTORY BALANCE SHEET/profit and loss STATEMENTS - DONE BY CA which is taught to commerce persons - Where as teaching will be much better than that .Even engineers are doing DONkey work i.e same brainless work daily .
MBA is useless(if not from IIM). He want students should develop some skills. Skill development will be used best in manufacturing sector. Service industry mainly IT software development requires expertise in Java/.NET etc. So MBA is not skill

Dear Mam I am an mba and let me tell you a fact even MBA is not enough until it is from IIM or some B-school,so in short even MBA IS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY because even after that the only option left is a bpo.
I have read your entire letter...But you should also understand the prospect of every career...If you opt for commerce, from day 1 you have to prepare for MBA..except engineering an young India market can not give jobs on bachelor degree...and you think every one is doing MBA and CA???are they easy you feel???have you any idea about higher studies...
Why are you blaming the PM for that?? His job is create job opportunities and your job is to fit in it.....
