An often missed out field
by Surendran on May 23, 2015 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

I see most people talking about IT ,manufacturing etc. But over the last 10 years or so I have seen a slow drying up of a very important field ( atleast I believe it is important) - SALES. Being a Sales head for an organization I have over the years found the quality of manpower deteriorating. People are not ready to do out calls or go to the market (no feet on street available). The people who sign up are rejects from every other line who would just like to jump on to the next available desk job. The fresh MBAs are no different. Everyone wants to do marketing without understanding what they have to market and who the target audience is and what the difficulties are. Finally whatever be the boom in all sectors if there are no people to sell them then the boom is non existent. After all everything cannot be sold online.
