Same situation in India too

Indian Universities too (both govt owned and private business ventures) are following this trend. They are using more and more Adjunct and Visiting Professors, who are often considered better teachers by students and are certainly more popular than the full-time profs. Even in our best known technical and management universities, several crucial courses are dependent on VF. Yet their condition is pitiable and they get paid by hour without any other facilities which tenured profs get.

How USA is Developed Nation
by on May 21, 2015 05:22 PM

As I know this was what in AP state during 1970-2000. Part time Lecturers are like Adjuncts in USA. These part timers were paid awfully low salaries that were less than the salary of a Office boy. These part timers were running from college to college for paid teaching hours. If USA is having similar situation it means in few years time USA will certainly Bancrupth. Still it is a wonder how USA is number 1 nation in the world.
