Private Tuitions.
by Balasubramanian Swaminthaiyer on May 14, 2015 11:38 AM

The parents are responsible for this lacuna. Father and mother of the child donot find time to devote for the child as both are employed in most cases. Teachers anticipating extra income welcome the situation. A 4 year old child, my neighbor's grand son was not found in the evening and I asked the grand parents where is the boy. I was shocked hear their response. The LKG Student has gone to attend tuition as in future he may refuse to go and so he must be habituated. This shows their interest on their carelessness towards grandson.

Education Mess.
by sreenivasan ramasubramanian on May 14, 2015 10:44 AM

The total blame on the mess in education system must be laid on the Govt.which ruled the country for so long. Not only primary education but education at all levels.Giving reckless licenses to institutions without having even the basic amenities, allowing them charge the fees they like etcc. Imparting Education is the primary responsibility of the Govt. and it should never go out of this scene.Govt.must keep a control over this.sooner it happens better for the country.

Teaching in regular schools& pvt coaching classes
by JSR prabhakar on May 13, 2015 05:09 PM

It is a well known fact that in the present times Either high school or college lecturers seldom take any interest in students or teaching as now they are getting fat salaries on par with govt officers unlike good olden times when salaries used to be less but devotion to teaching profession and students used to be very high. That's why we without any coaching at any stage but only with good teaching by teachers/ lecturers reached pinnacle
position of our career. Now a days ,since pvt coaching institutions pay fat rates per hour say rs 1000 for academically good teachers/lecturers for physics/chemistry/maths/biological sciences many regular teachers/lecturers of high schools/colleges started teaching min 2 or 3 hours per day earning not less than around 60000 besides their regular salaries. Then what interest those teachers/lecturers take in high schools/co,levels either in X std/Xii stds to mould the future course of our children. That's why even high school/college education has become a heavy financial burden of rs 10000 to 20000 per month for tutions too.jeediguntagoa

Education

Long back those who take private tuitions were called 'weak' but now the present education system has produced a 'weak' generation. Students get ranks and marks but no knowledge. The system is rotten, useless and worthless. Students are burdened with unnecessary books. Private coaching is big, big, big business worth 30,000 crores annually that excludes primary level. Basic Telugu can be taught in just one academic year, with just one book and without being given any kind of homework but even the prestigeous private/corporate schools takes 3 years, 9 books, 300 hours class room lessons and 100 hours homework but still the students are not perfect with basic Telugu.

private tutions
by jignesh narayan parmar on May 13, 2015 09:12 AM

PRIVATE TURUION ARE GOOD for students who are not able to learn in school / and those who require personal attention / another fact is it provided self employment to the unemployment youth / so it is beneficial for both / ON THE OTHER HAND IF A CHILD GOES TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING AND TUTION IN EVENING -- and does homework in afternoon AND WATCHES TV AT NIGHT -- His childhood has already gone into the dustbin . thanks to our city planners for not keeping any place to play /

Tutors.
by GAUTAM MOOKERJEE on May 13, 2015 06:26 AM

Teachers must learn to teach their pupils in schools and colleges.Today,a student of Class III has to resort to tutions often from his own class teacher. This is the case in village schools as also in reputed schools like Loreto.A student of engineering or Medical has also to turn to tutions only in the hope that he can pass the exams. And the less said about competitive exams like the JEE or IAS,the better. The aspiring examinee also hopes to get some hint of question paper leakages. And what about the hordes of tutorial books by our esteemed teachers which help them to mint lakhs.Such a state of affairs is unheard of in US,Japan or UK.This needs to stop if India is to progress.Just think about it,how many tutors did our past scholars like C V Raman,Amartya Sen,Satyen Bose or even our recent star Manjul Bhargava have?

Education in India is merely hype and a Huge scam
by himamshu on May 13, 2015 04:43 AM

Education for most people means going to school, college and getting a degree - Which itself lasts upto 22 years and half of the life will be gone there itself. (Within that stage many would have dropped out)

With loads of Time and Money gone to Private Institutions - There won\'t be a Guaranteed job for every degree holder also - He will just be considered as literate and nothing else.

Later the student finds no recognition for the degree, and studies for 3 or 5 years depending upon Interest, Financial stability and approval from home and other factors.

Inspite of all of the efforts, there is no assurance of a Quality filled life, as there are several loopholes in Education system like Money Power, Influence, Caste preference, Politics, Internal rivalry, Favouritism, Quota system etc etc .

By the time all such obstacles have been overcome, the candidate will be more than 30 years old and will not get a job at all due to age factor and inexperience.
