The writer has never visited Ladakah and if ever visited he has not stayed there. He might tarnish the image of Ladakhis unknowingly.
The most polite people in India are in Ladakh and no one is going to cheat you. No one is going to charge you 5 times the price of actual price in Ladkah (Keylong is HP). No one will stare if you ask for direction (writer has written a shit on this).
No mention about AMS (Altitude Mountain Sickness) and Medical Kit. You'll face water streams and need water proof shoes and luggage to cross that.

MBoth motion sickness and medical kit have been mentioned. Since the writer is talking about journey to Ladakh, the mention of Keylong has come. I disagree with the impoliteness aspect though. People in that region of both Himachal and J&K are very polite. Also, cheating by food stall vendors en-route Ladakh would be an exception rather than a rule. The prices of food items are definitely significantly higher than normal, but its unwise to compare those prices to that in any town/city. Getting foodstuff to such inhospitable terrain is an expensive proposition. Prices in such areas are bound to be high! We don\'t mind paying Rs 200 for a small pop corn pack in a multiplex. The food prices en-route Ladakh would definitely be cheaper than those in any multiplex in a metro city.
